A note from our Founder
The idea of a simple shade felt obvious, but I could not find anything that worked for my apartment. I wanted a way to soften my ceiling lighting without having to replace it. That idea grew into KAMI, a design brand focused on simple fixes renters can use in their own spaces. We make easy, useful home goods from natural materials, designed to make everyday rooms feel like places you actually want to live in.
Each KAMI Shade is handmade using rice paper stretched over a simple wire frame. Because of this process, every shade has small natural variations in texture and shape, giving each piece its own character while keeping the same soft, even glow.
